Strength unique to Scandinavian wood: Northern Scandinavia where the climate is cold means that trees grow very slowly. Sustainability: All our logs come from northern Scandinavia, where re-planting to ensure sustainability is a legal requirement. Any log home outside of the garden will require planning permission. An annexe in the garden would be supplied as a transportable log home, provided it is for a family member it will not require planning permission and in most cases it is exempt from Building regulations and VAT. You can expect any of these naturally insulated log cabins to stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
